Spire of St Margaret's Church (Bramley) (3 comments)
Black & White imageUndated, Postcard view of the remains of St Margaret's Church spire, it was sited off Town Street, Stocks Hill. A small chapel was built on this site in 1631, this was enlarged and rebuilt around 1729. By 1861 this church was deemed unfit for use and was demolished, the spire being kept. A new church was built, the foundation stone laid the same year. It was decided that it would be dedicated to St Peter and is just to the north of the Old St Margaret's site.
