There are three electric streetlamps and two bus stops. On the junction is a pile of road mending equipment. There is a bus at the bus stop with a man getting on. Several cars are travelling in both directions.

The school, which moved here in 1859, occupied a large site bordered by Moorland Road, Belle Vue Road, Woodsley Road and Clarendon Road. It moved to a new home at Alwoodley Gates in 1997 and this site was taken over by Leeds University.
